We offer a wonderful experience for your dog. There are no cold kennels. We offer as close to a home environment as possible while still being dog friendly & FUN! There are special areas right from the house and a building close to the house where I live. Each area has a deck, ramp and secure fenced grassy area. Each room has cable TV, music, air conditioning and there’s always plenty of fresh water (changed 3 times a day).
Owner on Premise 24/7 - We closely monitor the dogs even in the evening. Someone is always at the farm to make sure everyone is ok. We do not go away at 6PM and return 7AM the next day, there is ALWAYS someone here.
The dogs are fed 2 times a day and separated while they eat. We don’t leave dogs in kennels; however some dogs will be placed in a cubical at night, if needed. Most of the time the dogs are free to socialize with other dogs. We spend time getting to know each dog and place them in and area that is best for them. For instance some of the older dogs prefer to hang out in the house and office with me while more active dogs are placed in a secure area where they can go indoors or out throughout the day. Each dog goes for a one on one 15 min walk daily.
We pay special attention to the needs of the dogs and make sure they are not stressed out or home sick. If this means extra petting, kisses and hugs then that’s what they get. We want this to be a great experience for you and you dogs. We are dog lovers and animal advocates.
Because we only take up to 15 dogs at a time we require a reservation and a non-refundable deposit if you do not cancel at least one week in advance. We accept major credit cards. All dogs must be up to date on all shots and you need to bring proof of this with you. Each dog also needs to be micro chipped or have an ID tag. Once your dog has been here and we understand his/her temperament we may allow last minute reservations IF we are not full.
We are happy to take care of special needs dogs requiring extra care and medication. We also have a few areas for non-social dogs that can not be placed with other dogs. These dogs go for several walks per day; therefore there is an extra charge.
We provide blankets, treats and toys. You just need to bring paperwork & their food along with any special feeding instructions.

Understand that we are not a traditional kennel. Your dog is not left in a cage. I take the extra time, as much as needed to make sure they are ok and happy. I will try to discount my fees for multiple dogs or long term, however please only ask if you really need it.
$20.00 per day – Pick up by noon. After noon counts as an additional day. No pick up after 6PM unless special arrangements are made.
Payment is made at the time of drop off. If there are additional days added you can pay for these at pick-up.
Multiple dogs: If you have multiple dogs, more then 2, I may consider a discount based on their size, number of dogs and age. Please email me me for this information.
We don’t charge according to size because all dogs get the same attention. Its really more a matter of space and matching up dogs together. If you have a lot of pets and need an affordable solution, please just write or call & we’ll see what we can work out for you. We always offer discounts on rescued animals so please mention this and make a copy of your paperwork.
$5.00 per day extra for dogs under 6 months of age.
Daily photos, extra walks, baths and a dog weight loss program are additional.
VERY IMPORTANT PLEASE READ - because we don’t keep dogs in kennels we ask that you provide us with a drop off and pick up time. Please call 30 min before picking up and dropping off and we ask you to please be on time because we’ll have everyone put up and your dog ready. 434-549-1663
Long Term Boarding: We offer discounts on long term boarding and an additional discount for military personnel. Please email us the details and we’ll figure out a monthly price for you. READ CAREFULLY - Long term boarding is consider 3 weeks and beyond. We will always work with you on pricing. Over the past 6 months there has been an increasing number of boarding facilities that have taken in dogs that were never picked up. Rather then take them to a shelter people think its easier to leave them at a boarding facility. This isn’t true. We are unable to keep dogs and all no kill shelters are FULL. After 30 days we have no choice then to drop dogs off at humane society where they are likely to be put to sleep. If you are in a situation and unable to care for your dog, please just email me and I will try and help you find a solution.
Due to this increasing problem we are now requiring all long term boarding fees paid up front and along with your boarding contract you must supply a copy of your driver’s license. We really hate doing this but understand that people must take responsibility for their pets. We are happy to love and care for them LONG term and treat them as our own, however we are unable to keep them. Thank you for understanding.

Its very important that you make your appointment for drop off and pick up on time. We are small and many times playing, walking or feeding. We ask that you please be on time and call us 30 minutes ahead. Thank you.
Below are some pictures. We have different areas for different dogs. We have Bow Wow cabin which can hold about 6-8 dogs. It has a private grass yard, a small back deck and ramp. Its heated with air, cable TV, nice comfy sofa’s and chairs for them to lounge on.
We then have two rooms off the main house that have exits with fenced grassy yards ramps and easy access in and out. If the weather is nice we leave the doors open and they can freely go in and out. In the heat of the day everyone comes in to air conditioning and TV until it cools down again. In the winter we leave the doors open during the day and they enjoy laying in the sun.
The fancy deck is next to another dog area and deck. This is my personal deck, however some of the smaller, older or more calm dogs stay in the main house with me and hang out on this deck . There is a nice ramp for older dogs to easily get up and down into the yard.

To board your pet please fill out the following forms CLICK HERE to download forms. Please be sure to include records or invoice to show that your dog is up to date on all shots. You can also call your vet and have them fax us directly.
Your appointment is not firm until we have your paperwork. You can fax this, scan and email or postal mail. As soon as we receive your paperwork we will email you a confirmation. If for some reason we can not accept the appointment I will call you right away, otherwise we will confirm. On the form is a place for a credit card. You MUST have a credit card on file even if you pay by cash or check. This is to secure your reservation and in the event of a medical emergency. Please do not forget to add your credit card to the boarding forms. We accept MC & Visa.

Dogs that don’t do well here…
If your dog has not been socialized with other dogs, shows signs of aggression towards people or animals and has been known to climb or dig out of fences. While your dog is in our care you are responsible for his/her actions, therefore if your dog wounds another dog you will be responsible for vet fees. If you’re not sure call me.
Some dogs just do well away from home. We also offer pet and farm sitting services for these pets or we are happy to offer services installing pet doors, animal fencing and automatic feeders. Some people set their pets up to go in and out, however hire a pet sitter to go by once per day to check on everyone. If you have many dogs you may want to seriously consider this as an option.
Aggressive Dogs : If you feel your dog might be aggressive in ANY way towards humans or other dogs its important you do NOT board them in this type of facility. I suggest you board them at a traditional kennel where they are placed in a run. We recommend Danville Pet Lodge. If your dog attacks another dog or human they will be placed in a “safe area” and you will be charged $50.00 a day for special handling. We are not designed to take aggressive dogs. Dancing Creek is an open board facility. We do separate dogs and match them with dogs their size and age and there is the occasional fight, however a viscous attack will force us to remove a dog and place them in a safe area.
