Summer Boarding and Our Expansion.
We have added a few more areas bringing our total dog cabin style areas up to 18! The cabins are nice because each one has AC/heat, a nice deck or porch, ramp and extra large play area. The design of our new cabins also made it possible to enclose an extra play area so that the dogs can leave from their main area (cabin and yard) into ANOTHER large play area to socialize with other dogs. This is really great for long term dog boarding because the dogs are here for such a long time. It gives them extra stimulation and MORE fun.
We have dogs coming in from all over the world. Because of our style of boarding (no kennels or runs) and discounted pricing for military, charity workers and students we have dogs staying as long as two years. This is a huge commitment on our part which is why I decided that the design and program needed to be able to give a lot of wonderful dogs what they need. People often ask me how I can take care of so many dogs giving them the love and attention they need. Thankfully I have some great friends that work here who love dogs and we have set our facility up in a way where the dogs never feel isolated. I’m also very careful to match up the right dogs together. Doing this means everything! Once a dog is placed with the right “pack” they will bond wonderfully.
Our expansion also gives us the ability to do more local summer boarding which means we can continue to afford giving discounts to the people who really need it. Of course all of this made possible by the many other projects we launch to help raise money to expand. We have received some donations that helped us install more fencing for our play areas.
We are not interested in becoming the largest but we do want to be able to help more people keep their dogs. More importantly we want to continue to provide the highest level of care. Our standard of care is unsurpassed.
